Justin MonsenepwoLaw Clerk

Justin brings five (5) years of private equity, M&A advisory, and international finance experience to CXG. He began his career in cross-border M&A at CMS Hashe Sigle, one of the leading German law firms, where he identified buy-side opportunities for clients across a range of industries. Mr. Monsenepwo spent the next years advising international organizations, technology companies, and other institutions across many sectors and geographies. Justin was formally a consultant for several international organizations, including the Hague Conference on Private International Law. In that capacity, he worked on the development and the promotion of instruments governing commercial and financial transactions. In addition, Justin has lectured in international business law and corporate law at the University of Johannesburg (South Africa), the University of Montreal (Canada), and the Shanghai University of Political Science and Law (China). He is a Research Associate at the University of Oxford and at the University of Johannesburg.

Justin holds a doctoral degree in securities law from the University of Würzburg (Germany), graduating summa cum laude. His doctoral research explored the law as applicable to security interests in securities held with an intermediary. He also holds an LL.M. from the Texas A&M University and a master’s degree in European and international financial law from the University of Würzburg. His publications include books and articles on the harmonization of business law, among others. He is also actively involved in several local civic organizations.
